Le Defender Dakar D7X\u2011R partage l&rsquo;architecture de caisse robuste D7x, la transmission et la cha\u00eene cin\u00e9matique du Defender OCTA, le Defender de s\u00e9rie le plus performant jamais fabriqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Defender Dakar D7X\u2011R est \u00e9galement anim\u00e9 par le V8 biturbo 4,4 litres de l\u2019OCTA \u2013 autre \u00e9l\u00e9ment qui ne peut \u00eatre modifi\u00e9 \u2013 et fonctionne avec un carburant durable de nouvelle g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, conforme aux r\u00e9glementations de la FIA*.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Defender Dakar D7X\u2011R arbore une livr\u00e9e brute, \u00e9l\u00e9mentaire et puissante, inspir\u00e9e des teintes et textures du d\u00e9sert. Le tout nouveau design \u00ab Geopalette \u00bb puise son inspiration dans les paysages arides caract\u00e9ristiques du Dakar. Ce partenariat repose sur une collaboration d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9tablie avec Defender, dont les v\u00e9hicules de s\u00e9rie b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient eux aussi d&rsquo;amortisseurs BILSTEIN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019entreprise BILSTEIN rejoint le portefeuille de partenaires de classe mondiale de Defender Rally, parmi lesquels Castrol, Shackleton et Alpinestars.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le moteur V8 de s\u00e9rie de l\u2019OCTA demeure m\u00e9caniquement identique (avec n\u00e9anmoins une bride d\u2019admission d\u2019air limitant la puissance pour respecter les r\u00e9glementations de la cat\u00e9gorie \u00ab&nbsp;Stock&nbsp;\u00bb de la FIA**), mais le syst\u00e8me de refroidissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 optimis\u00e9 pour faire face aux temp\u00e9ratures extr\u00eames du d\u00e9sert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le refroidissement a \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9lior\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une plus grande surface frontale et \u00e0 un flux d\u2019air optimis\u00e9 \u00e0 travers la calandre, un seul radiateur de grande taille rempla\u00e7ant les trois radiateurs des v\u00e9hicules de s\u00e9rie. Quatre ventilateurs 12\u202fV viennent renforcer le flux d\u2019air \u00e0 travers le radiateur, assurant un refroidissement efficace m\u00eame \u00e0 faible vitesse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le capot moteur a \u00e9t\u00e9 modifi\u00e9 pour augmenter encore la capacit\u00e9 de refroidissement, tandis qu\u2019un filtre \u00e0 particules a \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9 pour emp\u00eacher le sable de p\u00e9n\u00e9trer dans les prises d&rsquo;air. Des prises d\u2019air d&rsquo;habitacle et des blocs\u2011phares additionnels ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 ajout\u00e9s sur le toit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Defender D7X\u2011R utilise la bo\u00eete automatique \u00e0 huit rapports du Defender OCTA de s\u00e9rie, mais avec un rapport final plus court adapt\u00e9 aux conditions typiques du rallye\u2011raid et optimisant le couple \u00e0 faible r\u00e9gime. Un syst\u00e8me de freinage sp\u00e9cial rallye a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9 sur le Defender Dakar D7X\u2011R, avec disques ventil\u00e9s, \u00e9triers six pistons \u00e0 l\u2019avant et quatre pistons \u00e0 l\u2019arri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9lectronique du D7X\u2011R est g\u00e9r\u00e9e par une seule unit\u00e9 de contr\u00f4le d\u00e9di\u00e9e au sport automobile afin d\u2019optimiser la fiabilit\u00e9 en conditions extr\u00eames, avec des \u00e9talonnages sp\u00e9cifiques \u00ab course \u00bb d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s en interne. Une nouvelle fonction \u00ab&nbsp;Flight Mode&nbsp;\u00bb a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe Defender Rally pour g\u00e9rer les nombreux sauts requis dans les dunes. Elle ajuste automatiquement la distribution du couple, du moteur vers les roues, chaque fois que le D7X\u2011R quitte le sol, garantissant un atterrissage fluide et prot\u00e9geant la transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le D7X\u2011R se dote d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de navigation conforme aux r\u00e9glementations de la FIA, d\u2019un affichage t\u00eate haute indiquant vitesse et cap, ainsi que d\u2019un tableau de bord sp\u00e9cial comp\u00e9tition configurable par le pilote.
